So, as I said in the previous entry, we (meaning nadia, nisa and me) were going to try to cook fish and chips.
We tried that out on Monday, when all of us were free and had not much work to be done.
So me and nisa were home by 5pm but for some reason nadia was not home yet.
We waited till abt 6pm until I decided to msg her and ask her roughly wad time she was coming home. And at the same time, she called me! Hahah great minds think alike.. WINKS!
She just said she met an old frd and will be walking home soon, and she was taking refuge in one of the buildings as it was freezing cold here.
So when she got home, she was so cold that her feet were white.. she didn’t put on socks that’s why!
After all that drama of putting a heat pad on her feet to bring the colour back, it was FISH AND CHIPS time.
Seeing that we didn’t get fries from the supermarket, we decided to improvise with potato wedges.. hehehhe
There were a couple of mistakes here and there while making the batter! Hahah
Nadia was supposed to put in 250g of plain flour and instead she put in half of the packet which was marked as 1kg plain flour..
It turned out dough-like and all of us were confused.
When we got to the root of the problem, we just burst out laughing.
Blur nadia, well we had our moments.
And it’s inevitable when we are all tired from uni and all that studying.
Anyways, finally the batter was ready and we started frying and all..
We cooked a total of 8 fillets, 2 per person.. we are very just people. =P
Anyways after cooking all those, we had some batter left and since I had some bananas in the cupboard,I suggested making goreng pisang..
And, it turned out great!! Didn’t taste fishy or whatsoever! Hehehe
so overall it was a very good experience! After all that cooking and cleaning up, it came down to me mopping the floor.. haha That in itself also had moments where we burst out laughing.. hehehhe
Anyways! A good start to another cold and depressing week..
